Trailbuilding

The Roodepoort Hiking Club has as one of it's main priorities the planning and physical establishment of new hiking trails. The club was involved for four years (4000 man hours) in establishing the beautiful Uitsoek Hiking Trail situated near Nelspruit.

The official opening of the Uitsoek Hiking Trail was in November, 1989 and it was the first trail in South Africa built by hikers for hikers.

The club has also completed hikes at Ben Lavin Nature Reserve situated near Louis Trichardt and The Nylsvley Nature Reserve, Naboomspruit both in the Northern Province.

If you need a trail to be build, please contact one of the committee members. We will visit you, discuss your requirements, have a look at the possible options and assist you in the building.
